As an exciting addition to the world's first fully-accessible theme park, Gordon Hartman spearheaded the development of a splash park next door to the famous Morgan's Wonderland. Opening in 2017, Morgan's Inspiration Island is a place where people both with and without special needs can come and cool off in the 3-acre splash park.
Working together with the architects, we were able to help determine look and feel of the park way before construction even began. We were able to coordinate with the staff at Morgan's and those involved in the park's planning in order to create an all-encompassing brand and feel that was both playful and recognizable.
When designing this logo, we wanted to ensure that it would read "splash park" through the use of the waves and the tropical/beachy feel of the additional design elements. The lighthouse is a major focal point of the park that can be seen from the nearby highway so that was included as an easily-recognizable element. The type face was completely custom made for the logo in order to give it a child-like, playful feel.
3D & DIGITAL ILLUSTRATION
In order to help raise funds for the park, we were commissioned to create a 3D rendering of the park as well as digital illustrations of the signage and environmental structures for the different splash pads. Based on many of our sketches, 3D fiberglass structures were created and dispersed throughout the park.
