Wurstfest
Case Study

Overview
We worked with Wurstfest to refresh the visual identity of one of New Braunfels’ most recognizable traditions while preserving the character people have known for decades. Our work focused on modernizing the brand in a way that still feels rooted in its history and German heritage.

We significantly reworked the existing Wurstfest logo, refreshing the Opa character, typography, color palette, and overall badge structure while preserving the familiar elements that make the festival instantly recognizable. The updated identity feels cleaner, more balanced, and more versatile, with details like the horseshoe, “Since 1961,” and New Braunfels, Texas incorporated into a more unified design. We also created a commemorative 60th anniversary logo that builds on the refreshed identity while celebrating a major milestone in Wurstfest’s history.

We created a custom illustrated map that brings the Wurstfest grounds to life while making the festival easy to explore. The artwork carries the refreshed visual style into a functional piece designed specifically for the guest experience.

We captured the brand in action through photography of Wurstfest merchandise and signage, including steins, cups, and other festival details. The imagery shows how the refreshed identity comes to life throughout the physical event experience.
